Brazilian App, Figuras Sombrias (Shadow Shapes), is a creative system based on using psychological activities to create Horror Characters, from its concept to its

final shape.

This app has a designer profile, followed by each character`s page from this designer, and the activities and results from the psychological tests the characters are

shaped into.

​

The base of this system is to define a new concept for each character and his personality without duplicating ideas from others work, making something innovating and terrifying.

"The objective of this app doesn't apply in the learning of drawing techniques, even though it will give you the chance to improve your art."

"However, it will help you to be inspired, and to see and comprehend your character better, beginning from its concept and then representing it."

Designer Page, with his personal information and a list of the Characters his is working on.

By selecting New Character, this page appears to the designer, so it can determine in how long he intends to make his production of this character in hours. 

Character Page for a new character, providing a list of essential information, about the character, that the designer cannot forget. There is also listed the Activities to be made.

First Activity Page, with a description of the activity, the material necessary, best environment to make this project and the estimated time that it will last.

The first activity bases itself in a immersive narrative where you place yourself and the character you are making in a series of environments and situations in which you have to figure out essential elements that define its personality.

The activity is completely narrated in audio, with a few questions appearing in the screen of the cellphone, giving multiple choices related to tips that can give away what kind personality most relate to the character. These questions were made based on the Jungian studies, the Psychological Types, helping to define a pattern of its personality which will influence the next activity.

Example of result for the activity, one of the personality types. It provides a resumed description of the meaning and characteristics related to this type.

Screen of Finished activity. It congratulates the user and asks if he would like to remake the activity.

The second activity is about representing this personality based on the result of the first one. It uses a series of audio stimulation (music, sound effects and others) that most relate with the characteristics this personality type shows.

So, once again, it uses an audio narrative to pass instructions of what the designer must represent in a sequence of drawings made by himself in a limited time. For example, in 1 minute make 3 drawings representing objects that relate with this character, maybe something of value to him or even some sort of  symbolic similarity in them, whatever the designer feels is more fitting at the time.

Second Activity Page, same topics of description that appears at the beginning of the first activity.

After finishing using the app, by the icon at the top of the screen, the user can select to finish this program. All the progress he made during the activities will be saved for later use or even to be remade as the designer sees fit, even if the time goal he established at the beginning of the character creation has already been achieved.
